Submitting Grades

The Seattle Colleges use a numeric grade system. The table below shows how percentages or letter grades translate to a numeric value.

You'll submit your grades through ctcLink (the same place where you view your rosters). The primary difference is that you'll click on a different icon to view your Grade Roster rather than your Class Roster. (The Grade Roster option won't be available until a few weeks prior to the end of your class. This sounds (and looks) complicated, but after you do it one time, it will be easier. The directions are below. If you run into problems, reach out to your faculty liaison. They do this all the time.

Alternate Grades
You have two other grading options. These options are both intended for students who are "in good standing" but were unable to complete the course. (In other words, these grades shouldn't be used to prevent a student from failing, if that is the grade they earned.)

  • NC (no credit) - use this if you don't believe the student will complete missing work.
  • I (incomplete) - use this grade if the you and the student agree that they will submit their work prior to a specific deadline, no later than the end of the next quarter. When the student completes the work, reach out to the College in the High School manager who will send you a grade change form to complete.
