Introduction

Students use Starfish to schedule appointments with most advising, tutoring, and other student support services. You can also setup your own office hour schedule, too.

Starfish user training is available online through Canvas. The training covers Starfish basics, getting started, logging in, making and managing appointments, setting up notifications, and more.

Functions

Faculty can use Starfish to:

Schedule office hours
Link students directly to your office hours to request an appointment with you
Manage Zoom links with appointments
Integrate your Starfish student appointments to your Office 365 calendar

You can also:

See a student’s previously completed courses at Seattle Colleges
See a student’s current instructors and their primary advisor
Use Starfish for TRIO attendance reporting if you have a student connected to TRIO Student Support Services

Access My Account

You already have access to Starfish through your MySeattleColleges/Office365 account. Just go to the Starfish login page and use your MySeattleColleges credentials without the @seattlecolleges.edu portion and your password to login. For example, if your email is daniel.cordas@seattlecolleges.edu, your Starfish login is: daniel.cordas

Once you have accessed your Starfish account, you will see the classes you’re teaching this quarter. You are also connected to the students currently enrolled in those classes. Likewise, when students use Starfish they see your name and your @seattlecolleges.edu email. You are only connected to students in your classes in the current quarter.
